Core Entities of the Uranus Database
The Uranus system is built around a set of core entities — each representing a specific layer in the event and venue management hierarchy. These building blocks form the foundation for all data operations, from event creation to public presentation and reporting.
Together, these entities form a flexible and modular system that supports: Multi-day and recurring events, complex venue structures, delegated editorial permissions, consistent data for public platforms and exports.
This layered architecture makes it easy to create, manage, and publish events without overcomplicating the data model.
Organizer
An organizer is the entity responsible for planning and managing events. This can be an institution, collective, or individual with permission to create and administer content within the system.
Venue
A venue is a physical location associated with an organizer, such as a theater, gallery, or concert hall.
Space
A space represents a distinct area within a venue where events take place — such as a main hall, room, or stage.
Event
An event is the core cultural or programmatic activity being offered (e.g., a concert, workshop, or performance). It contains the main descriptive data.
Event Date
